Matisse Ames scored two goals and had one assist in a 3-1 Lady Jet win over NEO in the Region 2 Conference opener Wednesday at the Advance Soccer Complex in Enid.

Wednesday's win was the first for head coach Joe Jolly.

"Great result to start off Region 2 play," Jolly said.  "The team really stepped up their game tonight, a great showing from sophomore Matisse Ames to create a lot in the attacking half of the field."

Ames scored her first goal on a penalty kick at the 13:40 mark and then the sophomore from Farmington, Arkansas, scored at the 32:13 mark.  The second goal was assisted by Alyssa Harvey.  

Joceline Bautista scored the third NOC Enid at the 37:30 mark, assisted by Ames.

NEO scored one goal in the 57th minute but the Jets won 3-1.

Ella Isaksen faced two shots on goal in net for the Lady Jets.

NOC Enid (1-1-1) continues Region 2 play Sunday at Connors at 6 p.m.
