No stranger to close games, the NOC Lady Jets edged Connors 39-35 in another tight fit at the Mabee Center Monday night.

The Lady Jets (6-7) improved to 5-7 in OCAC play.  Connors (8-10) fell to 4-9 in conference play.

Kristen Readel had 10 points and Lauren Wade nine to lead NOC Enid.

Seven of the Lady Jets conference games have been decided by five points or less and Monday was no different.

The Lady Jets built a 33-20 lead after three quarters and then held  off a furious Cowgirl rally down the stretch.

Connors cut the lead to 37-33 when Abbey Phibbs penetrated the land and made a driving layup to give NOC Enid a 39-33 lead.  Connors would score with :59 left but would get no closer.

The Lady Jets are at Redlands Thursday night.
