ALTUS, Oklahoma -- Gavin Barnard scored 35 points in a losing effort Thursday night as the Jets lost at Western 94-89.

The loss dropped the Jets (13-5) to 2-2 in conference while Western (13-2) improved to 2-1 in league play.

Barnard added 10 rebounds and four assists to his 35 points on 12-18 shooting and 2-4 from 3-point range.  He also made all nine of his free throws.

Darian Grant added 17 while Dontrell Yearby added 12.

NOC shot 44% from the floor and 32% from 3-point range while Western shot 47% from the field and 29% from the 3-point line.

The Jets host NOC Tonkawa Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Mabee Center at 7:30 p.m.
