Gavin Barnard scored 27 points leading NOC Enid to a 94-84 win over #22 Murray State Thuesday night at the Mabee Center.
The Jets (12-4) improved to 1-1 in confernce while Murray (12-4) fell to 1-1.
Grant Barnard aded 15 for the Jets while Dontrell Yearby added 13, Riley Shore 12, and Darian Grant 10.
Thursday's game was tied 67-67 with 8:25 remaining when the Jets 27-17 run to end the game.
The Jets trailed by as much as eight at 61-53 before making an 8-0 run to take a 62-61 lead.
"I think that was our best performance as a team," said coach Chris Gerber. "I think a lot of guys stepped up individually that gave good minutes or key plays, but they played to their strengths and followed the game plan and good things happened. From foul trouble to injuries, we had to battle for that game but we showed we can do it as a collective group."
Shore had eight rebounds while Gavin Barnard had seven assists. Grant Barnard added seven rebounds for NOC Enid.
The Jets shot 58% from the floor and 53% from the 3-point line. The Jets were 29 of 36 from the line. Murray State shot just 42% from the floor and 35% from 3-point range.
NOC Enid hosts NEO (8-7, 2-0 in conference) Monday night at 7:30 p.m.
