The NOC Enid Jets overcame a slow start and pull away from Mid-America Christian JV Friday night at the Mabee Center.

The Jets trailed the visitors 40-38 at half before outscoring MACU 54-29 in the second half.

Gavin Barnard led four double figure scorers with 19 while Faris Mucharbach added 15.  KeJuan Payned had 13 and Dontrell Yearby 10.

Payne, Yearby, and Mucharbach led with five rebounds each while Gavin Barnard had two assists.

"I was happy with how we responded in the 2nd half," said coach Chris Gerber.  "We played good defense that led to offense and offensively we started attacking downhill and that opened up our shooting. Definitely a lot to work on this weekend because we have two tough games on Monday and Tuesday."

NOC Enid shot 525 from the floor but just 18% from 3-point range.

NOC Enid is in the UCO Classic Nov. 3-4 against Howard and Missouri State West Plains.
