The NOC Enid Jets open the 2025-26 season Friday night hosting Mid-America Christian JV at 5 p.m. at the Mabee Center.

The Jets, coached by Chris Gerber, hope to improve on their 16-14 record in 2024-25.

"During our preseason I've been pleased with our depth, I think having a bigger rotation of keeping guys fresh and each contributing will help us later in the season," Gerber said.  "Our offense has improved but definitely want to continue to improve with our efficiency and unselfishness in these first couple games. We will be tested early with eight games in 17 days and then also playing some tough competition early as well."

Returnees for the Jets include sophomores Gavin Barnard (6-2), Dontrell Yearby (6-2), Oryne Stewart (6-1), Riley Shore (6-8), and Hunter Miller (6-7).  Stewart leads the returnees averaging 9.7 points per game in 2025.  

Potential starters for the Jets include Gavin Barnard, Dontrell Yearby, Kejuan Payne, Riley Shore,and Faris Mucharbach but Gerber said he plans to play up to 12 players in the pre-conference season.

In the non-conference schedule, the Jets face Howard College and Missouri State-West Plains at UCO on Nov. 3-4 as well as road games against Barton (KS) and Colby (KS) at the Barton Booster Classic on Nov. 14-15.

The Jets host Allen (KS) County, South Central Prep, Independence (KS), Southwestern JV, and Link Year Prep during November and December.

NJCAA Region 2 Conference games start Jan. 5 when the Jets travel to Eastern.
