Jets Softball begins playoff action Wednesday against Eastern in the NJCAA South Central District Softball Tournament in Shawnee at the Firelake Softball Complex.
First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
If the Jets win, they face the NOC Tonkawa-Rose State winner at 1 p.m. Thursday. If the Jets lose, they face the NOC Enid-Eastern loser at 11 a.m.
7th seeded NOC Enid (21-32) is 6-18 in league play while 2nd seeded Eastern (38-14) is 15-9 in conference.
The Jets are led by sophomore Brylee Brungardt-Davis who is hitting .461 with 11 home runs, 54 runs batted in, and 11 stolen bases.
Hayden Haulcomb and Cassidi Cook are also over the .400 mark with .432 and .413 averages respectively.
Albany Pritchard has 34 runs batted in while Cook has 32.
Adrianna Wiedeman has six wins while KK Harjo has four to lead the pitching staff. Harjo has 107 strikeouts and a sparkling 1.88 ERA for the Jets.
NOC Enid lost all four meetings with the Mountaineers this season.
