NOC snatched the lead late in the game in a 4-1 victory over NEO on Thursday. The game was tied at one with the Lady Jets batting in the bottom of the sixth when Lexi Vargas singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. Courtney Vaughn was credited with the victory for NOC. She lasted seven innings, allowing six hits and one run while striking out two and walking zero. Taylor Makowsky was in the circle for NEO. She went five and a third innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out five. Olivia Prather threw two-thirds of an inning out of the bullpen. Vargas, Kyia Monahwee, Madi Powell, and Kelsey Gammage each collected one hit to lead NOC. Makayla Bowman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead NEO in hits. NEO was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jordan Wharton made the most plays with seven.
