#22 Jets pound Redlands in run-rule wins

EDMOND, Okla. -- #22 NOC Enid pounded Redlands 11-1 and 17-5 Thursday night in conference games in Edmond.

The Jets (30-11) improved to 5-5 in conference while Redlands 13-25) fell to 4-6 in Region 2.

In Game 1, Bennett Percival (5-1) tossed a complete game allowing only one run on four hits.  Percival fanned seven and walked just two.

Connor Schlegel led a 12 hit attack with two hits including a home run and two runs drive in while Noah Smith added a three run blast.

Cade Cavnar, Lucas Dunn, and Jake Ervin added two hits each for the Jets.

NOC Enid jumped to an early 8-1 lead and were never threatened.

In Game 2 it was more of the same as Schlegel homered for his second on the day driving in five runs in the 17-5 win.

Lucas Dunn added three hits including two doubles while Connor Cavnar and Cade Christensen had two hits each.

More than enough offense for Jonathan Silva (3-0) who worked six innings allowing five runs.  Kade Varner worked the 7th for the Jets.

Thursday's games were moved from El Reno to Edmond due to wet field conditions at El Reno.

What's Next:  The Jets host Redlands to conclude the four game conference series Sunday at 4 p.m./7 p.m. at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
