Jets split with NOC Tonkawa, win series

NOC Enid split a pair with NOC Tonkawa Saturday at David Allen Memorial Ballpark winning the second game 15-6 after dropping the first 14-3.

The Jets (23-10) won the four game series improving to 3-5 in league play while NOC Tonkawa (13-15) fell to 1-7 in conference.

In Game 1, the Jets were outhit 11-6 in a 14-3 loss to NOC Tonkawa.

Brock Boddie had two hits including a double while Cade Christensen added two hits of his own.  Lucas Dunn, Tanner Fallwell, and Noah Smith had rbi;s for the Jets.

Catcher Lindley (3-1) started for the Jets with relief help from Brody Mahan, Zack Graham, Barrett Herr, and Wyatt Wilkinson.

For Game 2, the Jets rebounded scoring 15 runs in a 15-6 rout of the Mavs.

Gunner Sattler and Brock Boddie led an 18 hit attack with four hits each.  Lucas Dunn added three hits while Jake Ervin and Connor Schlegel had two hits each.  Walker Wakeland drove in five runs for the Jets.

Wyatt Rutledge (4-1) earned the win with bullpen assistance from Carlos Lopez, Isaiah Smith, Jack Jones, and Bennett Percival.

What's Next:  The Jets host Seward in a nine inning game Tuesday at 2 p.m.
